ABOUT ME

Sorry about the quality of these photos, they are very old.

In eighth grade I won the contest to design the county seal. I went on to graduate from Ripon High School in '66.

As far back as I can remember, I loved to draw. My first love was pencil drawing, (horses and people) then pen and ink. I began to paint at the age of eight and when I was thirteen I designed the San Jouquin County Seal. I did paintings for thirty-five years, and someone asked me to paint on a big wall.  That was twenty-one years and many, many, walls ago. I will show you as many as I can. I hope you enjoy them.

I was born on June 15 1948 to Sadie and Ole Sand, and raised in Ripon, CA, the almond capital of the world, where everyone's nuts. (local humor). I moved to southern California with I was nineteen. I lived in Huntington Beach, Anahiem, Dana Point, and Laguna Niguel. And after three husbands and two lovely daughters, I moved back to Ripon, to raise my girls by painting walls

I do all my own work. My only help is my valued prep guy,  (for some faux techniques) and some borrowed scaffolding. I work alone and very fast. Because I can work so fast I can work within ANY budget. I work personally with you to make you vision a reality.

Pricing is based on size, working surface, subject matter, and driving distance.

All prices are approximate.

This was the second big wall I painted, about 1991.

The first was Manteca Bowl. (It isn't even there anymore)

Here's a blast from the past. That's me and husband #2 coming home from getting married in Vegas August 1980.

Check out that hair! Below are two examples of the artwork I was doing way back then.

The first, my Gemini concept drawing as yet to be finished. The second, was a record that celebrated the Bicentennial in 1976. If you look closely you can see my name as illustrator, and yes that was my married name,  June Sand Schmuck. (for nine years!)
